I am currently working for a B2B digital publishing company that specialises in news, insights, and editorial content across multiple areas of the global security sector. The business produces industry-leading publications covering fire and safety, physical security, counter-terrorism, and infrastructure protection, with a strong readership base across the UK, Europe, and the United States.

The publications work closely with well-established organisations such as PAC, Gallagher, ASSA ABLOY, and other major brands operating within the security and safety industries. My role supports both editorial and commercial output across digital and print, ensuring that all content aligns with brand standards while meeting strict production schedules.

A key challenge was quickly adopting the company’s established house style within a high-volume, fast-moving publishing environment. The role required a strong level of adaptability due to the nature of B2B publishing, where priorities frequently shift based on editorial deadlines, advertiser requirements, and last-minute commercial changes.

My responsibilities included:

  • Designing and scheduling daily digital newsletters
  • Creating client e-shots to support advertiser campaigns and product promotion
  • Producing visual assets for podcasts and video content featuring industry experts and influencers

The workload was intensified by the fact that up to five magazines were often produced within the same month. Each publication passed through several approval stages before going to print, requiring close coordination with multiple stakeholders.

Throughout the production process, I worked closely with the sales team to accommodate new advertisers, late-stage artwork submissions, and layout changes. Ongoing collaboration with editors was essential to ensure text flow, readability, and consistency — a critical requirement within B2B publishing where clarity and accuracy directly impact credibility.

Through strong communication, time management, and collaboration, I quickly adapted to the company’s workflows and production schedules. Working closely with designers, editors, and sales colleagues ensured that editorial integrity and commercial requirements were balanced effectively.

Despite tight deadlines and frequent last-minute changes, the team consistently met print and digital release schedules without compromising quality. This role required confidence, attention to detail, and the ability to respond calmly and efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.

As a result, I became a reliable part of a production team that consistently delivered complex, multi-publication outputs on time — reinforcing the importance of teamwork, clear communication, and structured processes within B2B publishing.
